Hi, we are Nav and Martina, the proud owners of El Cordobes - Argentinian Sandwich. El Cordobes is a unique food truck that dishes out tasty sandwiches inspired by Martina's home country, Argentina. Martina's family has been in the restaurant business in Argentina for many years, specializing in serving authentic Lomitos (traditional food from Cordoba).

 

After spending holidays back home, Martina had the idea of bringing her family's delicious cuisine to NZ. She excitedly shared her vision with her partner Navtej originally from India, who immediately embraced the idea and together started developing El Cordobes.

 

Within no time, Navtej had secured a food truck in Palmerston North and worked tirelessly to renovate it. His creativity and problem-solving skills were evident in the way he transformed the vehicle into a masterpiece. Martina, with her background in restaurant and business management, took charge of setting up everything needed for the opening day.

 

Together, Navtej and Martina worked tirelessly, with Navtej taking care of the mechanical aspects of the food truck and Martina focusing on menu development, supplies, and legal requirements. After months of hard work, everything was finally ready for the grand unveiling.

 

On February 18th, 2022, the grand opening in Queentown marked the beginning of a non-stop journey of attending events all over Central Otago. Since then, the community has not stopped supporting this endeavor, with numerous individuals expressing their enthusiasm for the events that take place.

 

Our main objective is to offer a different taste of Argentina in every item on the menu. The tantalizing flavors and aromas that emerge from the plates served evoke a sense of wanderlust, tempting visitors to explore the rich culinary culture of South America.
